THINGS TO DO

With its stunning scenery and rich history, Bridlington makes for a perfect weekend getaway. Whatever your taste, there is am outing, activity or adventure to satisfy you.

- Shoppers can lose themselves in the vintage galleries and many independent shops and boutiques of the Georgian High Street, while those who prefer wilder walks can head for Basset Waddle or Flamborough. There's even a Dads' Army walk around where the film was made.

- Country house fans can appreciate Sewerby Hall and Gardens while John Bull's World of Rock will appeal to those with a sweet tooth.

- To the north of Bridlington is a mecca for the wildlife lover: the RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs, with its colonies of seabirds, including puffins, albatrosses, guillemots and razorbills and the largest and most accessible mainland nesting colony of gannets.

- And with rockpool, trek, climb or cycle along the rugged natural beauty of the East Coast before heading back to Bridlington harbour - the lobster capital of Europe and Britain's biggest shellfish port - for some delicious fish and chips. Don't forget your Bridlington passport discount!

GUEST REVIEW

I had a great stay in Bridlington. Mike made me feel welcomed and responded quickly to all of my questions before and during my stay. The accommodation itself is right next to the beach. The next supermarket is across the street and a lot of restaurants are nearby. The room was clean and tidy. Would book again!                        Ferdinand
